The purposes of this
organization:
- To foster in any way possible a greater appreciation of art in our community.
- To provide for the frequent meeting
of its members upon the common ground of fellowship and kindred interests, and
to develop acquaintance with one another for the interchange of ideas and the
solution of common problems.
- To provide opportunities for service,
self-education, lectures, sketching classes, sketching trips, and other means
found to increase the interest and effectiveness of our Colony to ourselves and
to our community.
- To keep the standards of art as high
as possible, adhering to the principle that all artists are entitled to a just
compensation for their work.
- To provide exhibits for its members,
and to assist in the sale of pictures or works of art made by members of Barn
Colony Artists, Inc.
